History
Camp White Pine was established in 1956 by Joe Kronick. Built on the shores of Hurricane Lake on the site of the old Highland Lodge, operations were taken over in 1986 by Joe’s son and daughter-in-law Adam and Dana.
Camp White Pine has been happy to welcome thousands of campers from all over the world for over a half-century. The camp is well-known for being the locations for the filming of movies Meatballs as Camp North Star and Camp Rock. Camp alumni includes actor Aaron Abrams, television show creator David Shore, writer Margaret Atwood, artist Charles Pachter, and singer Scott Helman.
Activities
A good summer camp ensures that a child is always participating in activities all day, every day with little chance to be bored or homesick. If your child comes to Camp White Pine, they will definitely be busy doing lots of fun-filled things and making new friends along the way.
Camp White Pine features a variety of adventure sports such as ropes courses, mountain biking, rock climbing, canoe trips, and archery. Art activities include pottery, arts and crafts, copper enamelling, glass works, photo and video projects, theatre, and music.
